I haven't been blogging much. That isn't to say that I haven't been doing things. I just haven't been blogging about said things.
One of the things that I have done is make a tree skirt for our new Christmas tree. (Lest you ask, it is fake. And we're okay with that. It'll save us moolah in the long run. And it's not as messy. And I love it. So there.)
I found THIS tutorial on Pinterest and got to work.
When I started the first row, I knew I was in for the long haul. It took forever for even the first one.
The closer I got to the middle the easier it got. I think this was mostly because the rows were shorter.
When I was done with putting the ribbon on, this was my final project.
I think it really turned out great (but I'm a little biased). The only thing is that I wish that it were a little bit bigger. Holland thinks it's fine, but I think that I could add a few more rows and I wouldn't be sad about it at all.

muy bueno!! I love it. did it take an astronomical amount of hot glue?! I really want to make one for next year but I'll have to buy all the glue at Michaels first :). What did you use for the back? One lady used a painters canvas, one used felt..I can't decide!!
It did take a large amount of glue. I don't know exactly how many sticks it was but I think it was more than 5 but less than 10. I just used fabric for the back because I had a ton of extra fabric that I wasn't using for anything else. I was worried that the hot glue would seep through onto the floor but I didn't really have any problem with it at all.
I should also mention that I have a full sized glue gun with pretty large glue sticks. Not one of the minis.
whatever! I was so proud of my homemade tree skirt until I saw yours. I LOVE YOURS! I want it! Super cute.
