National Christmas Tree

A few weeks ago we went downtown with our friends, Kelsey & Curtis, to see the National Christmas tree.

Holland was working downtown so we met him downtown at Good Stuff Eatery to get some burgers. To be honest, they were good (like we had heard), but they weren't THE BEST burgers we had ever had. We liked We, the Pizza much better.

We made our way to the National Christmas tree after dinner. The old National Christmas tree was blown over (as seen in this article) in the storms we had a few months ago, so they used a new one for this year's tree lighting. We were surprised to find it a little bit smaller than last year's

National Christmas Tree 2011 - Please note the misshapen tree. You'd think we could get a better tree than a misshapen one!!

The National Tree was surrounded by several trains. We even saw a train from Canada - sellouts!

The best part of the evening was when we saw someone get proposed to! Unfortunately, I wasn't quick enough (or creepy enough) to snap a picture of the happy couple. But rest assured, it was MAGICAL.
