O' Christmas Tree!

This year, we bit the bullet and bought ourselves a real live (but fake) Christmas tree. A 7 1/2 footer. It's a vast improvement from last years 2 footer filled with cats and Santas.

Sorry for the blurry pictys, but you get the idea! My grandma always had the most beautiful Christmas trees, so I was so excited to have a tree that was at least close to the beauty of hers.

Yesterday, I got the perfect addition to our Christmas tree. I was suspicious when I opened the box and found gold and purple wrapping paper, and I was very happily surprised when I found this in the box:

A little piece of home is now displayed prominently on our Christmas tree. Thanks, friend, for the most perfect gift. :)
