This New Year's Eve was much better than last year.
As I was looking at past blogs to confirm this, I realized that I never wrote about Christmas or New Year's Last Year. It really is a shame that I didn't write about Christmas, but I can understand why I wouldn't write about New Year's.
Last year we went to a (lame) New Year's Eve dance. We left early and I may or may not have rung in the New Year's with tears. But let's not focus on that.
This year, we went to dinner with another couple from our ward to the best Thai place that I've had since I've moved to DC. (I hope that I can still say it's a great place when I go back to Seattle and have Ave Thai and not that it's just been so long that mediocre Thai tastes really good to me. But I think that it was probably good). It's this little mom-n-pop restaurant in Rockville (15ish minutes from our house) called Amina Thai.
What's interesting about this Thai place is that it's run by Muslims so it's completely halal. No pork. Which isn't really a problem for me, since I've never eaten pork in Thai anyway. I will definitely go back to this place.
Afterwards, we headed back to our friends' house to play games until the ball dropped.
And now I'll end this post awkwardly by saying nothing more. Hope you all had a good new year!
